Flags for Peace

Mountshannon Main Street will have an extra bit of colour, added over the festival in the form of several flags.

These flags are from countries where armed conflicts continue, and/or peoples human rights are being taken away.

Whilst the people of the Ukraine deserve our support and compassion, and what they are suffering is appalling, let us not forget those struggling in other less 'newsworthy' places around the world.

Of course there are many more flags we could have flown, but these few serve to represent our support for people everywhere, who are suffering through war and repression.
