In Anitas we will have John Kellys 1x1x2 Exhibition, which is a continuation of the project first begun in 2019, where he takes black and white portraits of 12 members of our community. This year the group includes the two Pakies. Pakie Dooley who celebrated his 100th birthday this year, and on his lap, he holds his  great grandson, also named Pakie, which fits well with this years theme of ‘Regeneration’.

The idea behind this project is to celebrate the diverse nature of the people living in the area, and to hear their stories. Many have lived in the area all their lives, whilst others have come from further away. For all of them, Mountshannon and its surrounds, is now their home.
