Are you interested in learning more about poetry film making? Are you a poet with an interest in film, or a filmmaker with a love of poetry?

Colm Scully, award-winning poet and (micro) film maker from Cork, will facilitate a two-day poetry film workshop

Aim: Comfort and enjoyment.

People will be coming at this from different perspectives and places. There will be poets and film makers and neither. The aim will be to bring everybody along. There will be no stress to finish any film during the two days. The aim will be for us all to learn and hopefully send on a film a month or so later that we can all view together.

No neeed to be a techie to do this course - just be a lover of poetry and film

Day 1

Everyone introduces themselves.

An introduction to Poetry Film.

Break

What we need to make poetry films.

Discuss each person’s proposal and way forward.

Maybe some light homework for the afternoon.

Day 2

The elements and how to use them.

Voice/ Editing Software/ Footage.

Break

More poetry-film styles.

Next steps for each participant

Homework: Produce the film and send it to Colm.

Day 3. A month afterwards

Zoom meeting and feedback at a date to be agreed, when we will view everybody’s films.
