Jazz at the Old Schoolhouse

Enjoy an early evening jazz concert in Mountshannon's Old Schoolhouse - a wonderful selection of classic jazz standards, from the Great American Songbook, swing tunes, blues, bebop, bossa nova and more.

A relaxed session including popular tunes that will appeal to all music lovers.

The band will include rising jazz musicians on the Dublin scene, including James Fennell (piano), Donagh Kelly (bass) and Al Power (drums),  plus vocalists Aran McMahon and Dara MacMahon. James, Donagh and Al are all studying on the prestigious degree in Jazz Performance at Dublin City University, Aran and Dara both have strong family links with Mountshannon, and are well known jazz singers. An exciting collaboration among these wonderful musicians promises a special performance in a beautiful and historic venue.
