Nathalie El Baba

Nathalie El Baba is a visual artist and experienced facilitator, based close to the small town of Scariff in County Clare. Her studio is in a peaceful location amongst the rolling hills East Clare is famous for. This rural place has been her home for many years and has provided her with many opportunities to connect with both the landscape and the communities here in the West of Ireland.
She works with themes of migration and connection, reflective of her own journey – her family left Lebanon when she was a young child during the civil war – but also reflective of the many stories of movement across lands from the people she has met.
Through her painting Nathalie explores the strong emotional connection to place in Ireland. She is fascinated by the sense of rootedness, contrasted against the constant movement of the sky. Where do we see ourselves belonging? Do those who have known migration ever belong to place? Her work explores the narratives of both our internal and external landscapes.
Nathalie holds a B.A. in Art and Design, Certificate in Youths Art, Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art, and is a certified Story Exchange Facilitator trained by Narrative 4.

Mel White - Maximillist Art

My name is Mel White, I am a self taught Pop Art Influenced Artist. I have been developing my craft as a professional artist since 2014, showing artistic work in both individual and collective shows around Europe. I take most of my inspiration from my photographs taken on my travels. I use real life photographic situations as inspiration and exaggerate them in an animated form with vivid colours, trying to highlight the controversiality from that region/place.
