‘The Fire in Me Now’ is a series of writing and art workshops and discussions championing the older artist and engaging and facilitating creative expression through poetry, and visual art for the older person.

Through the support of Creative Ireland Programme, Mountshannon Arts offered participants the opportunity to partake in two workshops.  One each with writer and poet Ron Carey and art therapist Margaret Curran.

The project culminated in an event celebrating the older artist at the Mountshannon Arts Festival in June 2023.
