Perpetual Succour

Sunday 1 June

12pm

Mayfly
€10, €8 with wristband

The artist Rachel Macmanus will perform Perpetual Succour, a live performance art work, in two locations.

Perpetual succour means ‘assistance and support in times of hardship and distress’. Rachel will perform a looping action, repeating over and over, trying to live in the moment through the action. This ongoing repetition is intended to provide relief though the physical hard work from the clamouring voices in our heads. In a society which constantly tries to distract us with technology and media, staying present in a space is the most challenging thing of all.
