Understanding Your Smartphone Camera: Participants will learn about the different features and settings available on their smartphone cameras, such as focus, exposure, white balance, resolution and Creative Shooting Modes.
Composition Techniques: You'll be taught fundamental principles of composition, including the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, and symmetry, and how to apply these concepts effectively in smartphone photography.
Lighting Tips: Lighting plays a crucial role in photography. We will look at utilizing natural light, controlling exposure in various lighting conditions, and using supplementary lighting tools like reflectors or portable LED lights.
Editing Apps and Techniques: Participants will be introduced to popular editing apps for smartphones such as Snapseed, and learn basic editing techniques to enhance their photos.
Practical exercise: You have 30 minutes to take a quick stroll through the Aistear Park to take a few pictures. The group will then have a look at your photos and suggest improvement.
