Juanita’s Big Problem

Juanita the Cleaner has been collecting her rubbish for one whole year. But what can she do with this mountain of plastic? She needs your help. In 45 minutes of hilarious climate-saving clowning, Europe’s leading female clown Angelica Santander tackles plastic pollution with dance, circus and several bin loads of humour.
Workshop participants please bring a spare toothbrush!!
A Hooley of Tales

Grab your seats and hang on tight, Niall de Búrca is coming to Mountshannon Arts Festival for a hooley of tales! More dangerous than the pied piper, de Búrca will cast a spell on young and old alike. Join us at 1pm in the Marquee for a feast of world tales.
Raised on the wild Atlantic coast, Niall travels the world performing stories of derring do. He has worked on six continents in countries as diverse as Romania, Azerbaijan and Ghana. Using his voice with a craftman’s skill, de Búrca turns an ancient art form on its head with tremendous energy and superb timing.

Little Top Stars

Little Top Stars offers accessible and inclusive circus skills workshops where participants get to use traditional circus equipment.
Bubble Display (2 to 3pm)
This year, using specialised equipment we will fill Aistear Park with a spectacular display of soap bubbles. Our custom made strings and nets will bring to life interactive giant bubbles, clouds of bubbles and colourful bubbles clusters.
Circus Skills Workshops (3 to 5pm)
At our drop-in workshops, we facilitate games and use circus equipment to teach children tricks and to develop skills.
Our circus activities include spinning plates, hula hoops, diabolo, flower sticks, juggling and participants will get to have a go at making their own non-toxic giant soap bubbles.

Dancemaster

My Delicious Hat

My Delicious Hat is a show of poems, stories and things to do with Paul Timoney. Find out why Paul’s hat is too delicious to be worn in public… hear the story of The Three Lidl Pigs… yes, you read that correctly… not The Three Little Pigs, but a story about three pigs who work in Lidl Supermarket. This show is pretty interactive and invites lots of audience participation and play… and will hopefully be lots of fun for children and families.

Homes for Gnomes

Woodpark Forest

The gnomes and fairies of Woodpark are looking forward to another year of Gnome home building! Come and join in the fun; bring anything natural with you - sticks, bark, moss… The gnomes are bound to supply us with more on the day.
We will also create a large mandala (geometric pattern) using natural materials such as flowers, leaves, twigs, pinecones and more.
Face-painting, storytelling, refreshments.... A delightful moment into the woods.
