Behind the scene

As we are heading into spring 2022 many people are looking forward to getting outand about to attend local events and festivals throughout Ireland - here in Mountshannon the festival committee are working behind the scenes to create an exciting arts festival which will take place from 27 th May through to and including the June bank holiday weekend.

Despite many restrictions in 2021 we hosted a wide variety of events including A Flow of Words, Poetry Day, a mainly online festival in June, Culture Night, an interactive festival in September, Piano Concert, Hush Hush fundraising initiative, and a traditional music and poetry concert in December. All this was due to the immense hard work of our committee, and we thought we would introduce you to the community behind the events.

All events are available to view on the website (past years as well in the archives) and we are looking forward to presenting an exciting selection of events in 2022
